I am based in Harrow, Middlesex, but I design gardens in many of the surrounding areas such as: Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Middlesex and Greater London. All my garden designs are sensitively tailored to meet the individual needs of my client, their home, and the surrounding landscape. Garden Designs comprise a bold underlying structure softened with lush planting to provide year-round colour and interest.
Ecological and Environmental elements such as encouraging & protecting garden wildlife and conserving water are integral to my garden designs. I have particular specialist knowledge of drought tolerant plants and dry-shade tolerant plants for gardens (of growing importance whilst climate change and hosepipe bans are becoming more widespread).
As a Garden Designer there is always a great thrill and satisfaction in transforming an under-used or difficult landscape, into an idyllic, easy-to-maintain, oasis of calm. I design spaces that flow outwards from the house, allowing the garden to become a natural extension of the home.
Initially I completed a BA (hons) degree in Fine Art Sculpture at Brighton and a Royal Horticultural Society Certificate in Horticulture. I then went on to graduate with a distinction in both Garden Design and Hard Landscaping, from the prestigious Capel Manor College, London.
Recent projects range from large, naturalistic, wildlife garden designs to small, contemporary, courtyard garden designs. I personally monitor garden transformations from conception to completion - and then for a whole year afterwards, to ensure my clients' peace of mind.
